    Job Description

    In this role, you’ll take the lead in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS programs that ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations. You’ll play a key part in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and driving proactive injury prevention efforts across the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Evaluate workplace conditions, processes, and employee practices to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.

    + Design and manage EHS training programs covering topics such as hazardous materials, emergency response, industrial hygiene, and life safety.

    + Independently plan and execute tasks to meet deadlines, applying analytical skills to solve complex EHS challenges.

    + Conduct job safety analyses, incident investigations, safety inspections, and internal audits. Oversee hazardous material and waste management in accordance with regulatory standards.

    + Review and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances.

    + Participate in facility and equipment reviews to assess EHS impacts during modifications or new installations.

    + Provide on-call support for EHS emergencies and maintain Emergency Action Plans.

    + Serve as a subject matter expert for occupational health, environmental compliance, fire safety, and loss prevention.

    + Fulfill responsibilities outlined in the Environmental Management System (EMS).

    + Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and contribute to industry discussions on evolving regulations.

    + Apply professional judgment and EHS principles to develop practical solutions for safety concerns.

    + Coordinate exposure monitoring and industrial hygiene activities, including contractor oversight.

    + Lead ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements.

    + Manage the Lab Safety Coordinator program, including training and oversight.

    + Oversee procurement and inspection of emergency preparedness equipment.

    + Support data collection and reporting for EHS metrics.

    + Facilitate Safety and Emergency Response Committee meetings to ensure effectiveness and continuity.

    + Align with organizational initiatives related to quality, environmental, and regulatory systems.

    + Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory bodies and maintain collaborative relationships across teams, contractors, and vendors.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in safety, EHS, and health & safety principles.

    + Experience in developing and implementing EHS programs and policies.

    + Ability to investigate incident root causes and support injury prevention initiatives.

    + Knowledge of OSHA regulations.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Prior experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry.

    + Experience with R&D teams.

    + Familiarity with enterprise/cross-division business unit models.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

    This is a fully onsite position in Minneapolis,MN.
