Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Specialist to join our team, who will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and project management for solar interconnection requests. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and exposure within a leading next-generation energy company committed to the transition to clean, renewable energy.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as a liaison between customers and the interconnection engineering team, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
+ Manage and respond to solar interconnection requests via Power Clerk.
+ Collaborate with engineers to resolve customer utility needs and ensure smooth interconnection processes.
+ Address and resolve basic customer inquiries related to grid interconnection and common utility concerns.
+ Track project milestones and maintain documentation to support team efficiency and customer satisfaction.
+ Assist in identifying process improvements and support implementation of best practices.
Essential Skills
+ High School diploma required; an associate's degree or higher in Engineering, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, or a related field is preferred.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with project tracking tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project is a plus.
+ Applicable experience within the energy, utilities, or solar industry.
Work Environment
The role requires working in the office four days per week, with the flexibility for remote work on Fridays after successful completion of training and demonstration of a thorough grasp of the role.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00/hr.
