Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for performing a range of manufacturing tasks related to reagents and buffers. The role involves troubleshooting formulations, filling processes, packaging, and conducting Quality Control procedures. You will work in a collaborative environment, supporting R&D and process improvement activities to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

+ Perform assigned manufacturing tasks for reagents and buffers as assigned by the Supervisor/Lead.

+ Troubleshoot formulations, filling processes, packaging, and analytical techniques.

+ Conduct Quality Control procedures for consumables.

+ Perform data collection and analysis.

+ Process work orders to complete products to inventory.

+ Execute and improve batch records and SOPs.

+ Identify gaps and weaknesses in SOPs and formulations for finished goods and component materials.

+ Maintain accurate inventory of materials through cycle counts, ordering, and receipt of materials.

+ Operate in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities.

+ Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other scientists, engineers, and manufacturing personnel.

+ Lead kit support and line operations.

+ Perform simple buffer formulation under 50L.

+ Provide fill support.

+ Engage in other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with SOPs, BRs, and WIs.

+ Hands-on experience with pH, conductivity meter, UV-vis, and other standard lab equipment.

+ Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in teams.

+ Highly organized and flexible.

+ Detail-oriented with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

+ Proficient in Excel, Word, Confluence, web-based, or similar programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with developing and updating BOMs is preferred.

+ Experience with formulation, fill, packaging, and chromatography in a laboratory setting is preferred.

+ A Bachelor of Science degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, or other related life science discipline preferred, with 1-2 years of relevant experience in consumable manufacturing (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
