    Job Title: Machine Engineer

    Job Description

    The Machine/Process Engineer will play a critical role in developing processes to support the Interior/Exterior and Safety Systems divisions. The primary focus will be on reducing PPM and increasing productivity through various essential duties.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate various projects from concept to completion, including process design, process layout, and developing capital equipment specifications.

    + Present justification for equipment purchases to management.

    + Negotiate equipment pricing with suppliers and manage equipment procurement.

    + Coordinate equipment rigging and installation with outside contractors.

    + Install and debug processes, and train personnel on how to operate new equipment.

    + Perform troubleshooting on automated equipment.

    + Design small assembly machines, fixtures, and tooling.

    + Supervise various facilities construction projects throughout the plant.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in process design, layout design, and equipment design.

    + Experience in equipment installation and selection.

    + Skill in tooling design and project coordination from concept to completion.

    + Ability to perform PLC troubleshooting and programming.

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Technical Bachelor’s degree (B.S) from a four-year college or university.

    + One to two years of related experience.

    Work Environment

    This position requires a commitment to a Monday to Friday schedule, with hours from 8 AM to 5 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM. While the role is salaried, overtime is compensated after 40 hours. Occasionally, some Saturdays will be mandatory, depending on production needs, with a likely rotation with other Machine Engineers.     This is a Permanent position based out of New Albany, Indiana.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

     

    Bi weekly payLow deductible med ins - $30 for non tobacco and $45 for tobacco - viz and dental - $1High deductible med ins - $0 for non tobacco and $10 for tobacco - viz and dental - $0People that don't take insurance get paid extra $50 per check$25 per wk cell phone allowance - expected to use own cellPTO - accrue 3.1 hrs - 80 hrs in 1st yr - can't take until been working for 90 days10 paid holidays2 shutdowns each yr - not paid if off but Engineering and Maintenance generally work these weeks401K - 3% match
