What You’ll Do

+ Design substation layouts, grounding systems, lightning protection, and physical components.

+ Create detailed electrical plans and specifications that meet client and project standards.

+ Lead drawing development, layout planning, and calculations for complex assignments.

+ Review and refine sketches, redlines, and markups for quality assurance.

+ Approve design codes and ensure compliance with technical requirements.

+ Deliver high-quality design packages on time and within budget.

+ Mentor junior designers and support development of diverse and international teams.

+ Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development.

+ Oversee QA/QC processes and evaluate vendor prints for design compliance.

What You Bring

+ Bachelor’s degree in drafting/design with 7+ years of experience, or Associate degree with 8+ years.

+ 7+ years of AutoCAD experience.

+ Advanced skills in 2D & 3D engineering design applications.

+ Strong understanding of engineering calculations and design systems.

Bonus Points For

+ Experience in substation design.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
