Description

The Controller is responsible for preparation of the company’s financial statements, and also including accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance. This position plays a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring that all financial transactions and reporting meet regulatory and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses for management and external stakeholders

• Assist with and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data

• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes

• Assist with external audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and all applicable regulations

• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections; monitor and analyze variances

• Provide financial analysis to support strategic business decisions

• Ensure compliance with tax filings and reporting requirements

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and operational efficiency

• Collaborate with department heads to support overall company goals and objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required

• Minimum of 5 plus years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• High proficiency with understanding accounting software

• Advanced Microsoft Suite skills

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
