Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
+ Implements fabrication, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with engineering, and OEMs, as well as interpret Customer Purchase and Repair Orders to determine work scope
+ Has the ability to demonstrate configuration control of the hardware, within the Repair Station Work Instructions.
+ Understanding the application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards of industry practices including AD, SB, CMM, AMM, SRM documents.
+ Knowledge to develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement (bearings, bushings), and functional test plans.
+ Using the established Repair Station process flow, defines sequences of events, develops text and graphics work instructions, datasets, tooling requirements, and Repair Station bills of material.
+ Communicates with OEM and Spirit engineering teams to influence and clarify repair concepts. Coordinates change incorporation, optimizes processes, addresses producibility issues, production & post production problems.
+ Coordinates with a variety of other organizations.
+ Ability to apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Composite non-metallic, Machining, Sheet metal, and Structures.
+ Some experience with CATIA V5
+ Must be willing to work in the Repair Station environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 5-9 years of Manufacturing Engineering/planning experience.
+ Repair Station, Nacelle and Composite knowledge, and manufacturing experience
+ Strong to excellent general computing skills.
+ Familiar with FAA regulation and Repair Station operational criteria
+ Ability to read and interpret multiple large technical documents and convert them to defect repairs
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ This is a Non-safety Sensitive position - no DOT requirements
Preferred Skills:
+ Computer skills: MS Office suite, SAP
+ Experience with Repair Station engineering
+ Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, PL’s and Specifications
+ Experience with Catia programs
+ Bachelors degree is highly preferred but not required
