A Day in The Life of a Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and a repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facilities mechanical and electrical systems.

+ Perform maintenance on facility equipment, including high voltage test equipment and systems

+ Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventory by checking stock to determine appropriate inventory levels

+ Prepare mechanical maintenance reports

+ Record and process findings of maintenance duties on maintenance log

+ Identify root cause of problems by observing mechanical devices in operations

Education & Experience

+ High school degree or equivalent required

+ 5 years of service and maintenance of electric machinery required

+ 2 years of facility repair and maintenance experience required

+ 2 years of handling high voltage test equipment required; 5 years preferred

Skills & Requirements

+ Proficient in mechanical calibration

+ Ability to read and work from blueprints and sketches

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

+ Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
