Our Electrical Products business unit in Smart Infrastructure develops low and medium-voltage technology and solutions for power systems.

     

    We are looking for a Spring 2026 (January – May) Manufacturing Engineering Co-op as part of the Operations Leadership Development Program with our Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This position is based in Fort Worth, Texas.

     

    This co-op will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our two-year rotational Operations Leadership Development Program and other entry-level roles upon graduation.

    You’ll make an impact by:

    + Defining scope of work for wiring activities for Switchboard production at the Fort Worth plant by analyzing wiring content of current and future customer jobs.

    + Being a bridge between Siemens and Outsourcing Vendor and making sure outsourcing vendors have accurate information needed to run outsource assemblies.

    + Modifying drawings, wire lists, and reports to make it easier for outside vendors to quote and build our assemblies.

    + Contributing to improvement projects with the Production Team to reduce non-value add activities in Wiring Assembly.

    + Reviewing the Bill of Material for outsourcing assemblies and providing support to ongoing pilots for new customer introduction.

    You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications

    + Rising juniors, rising seniors, and master’s students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related majors

    + Must be enrolled as a student at University of Texas Arlington at the time of the co-op

    + Available to work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm) from January 2026 to May 2026

    + Eligible candidates must have reliable job transportation and be located within 50 miles of Fort Worth, TX as this role does not provide housing or relocation support

    + Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Knowledge in Basic Operations Management, Outsourcing, Lean, and Work Instructions

    + Experience in manufacturing, logistics, & supply chain environments

    + Understanding of engineering drawings (PA, Schematics, BOMs)

    + Familiarity with Zuken software and wire harnessing.
