Job Title: Shop/Facility Helper
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated individual for a general labor position as a Shop/Facility Helper. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity ideal for someone with a knack for repairs and maintenance in a shop environment.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with repairs around the facilities including light construction, painting, and drywall.
+ Clean equipment both upon arrival and before dispatch.
+ Engage in general maintenance and upkeep within the shop environment.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in facility maintenance and repair.
+ Ability to clean, disassemble, and assemble equipment.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Mechanically inclined with a preference for those accustomed to a shop environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with mechanical repairs is a plus.
+ Familiarity with overhead crane manufacturing is beneficial.

Work Environment
The position is based in a medium to large manufacturing facility that specializes in fabricating overhead cranes from scratch. The shop has around 75 employees and operates in a non-climate controlled environment. Appropriate PPE, including steel-toed boots, is required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
