As the Senior Manager – Profitability, you will be responsible for leading a team of Profitability Managers focusing on growing sales and profitability through data analytics, cross functional partnerships, customer & supplier partnerships, coaching and performance management practices. You may also work directly with a specific group to support their sales and profitability growth. Additionally, you will support the development and execution of the profitability growth strategy across the business by ensuring alignment among the Profitability group and driving a consistent approach to achieving the corporate objectives.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead a group of Profitability Managers in executing the company strategy for profitable growth.
+ Develop metrics and establish goals and objectives for profitability growth to measure the effectiveness of the group and the performance of the individuals in the group.
+ Establish underlying market trends, price trends, and customer behaviors used to inform the pricing strategy and ensure the utilization of the data to drive pricing decisions.
+ Identify opportunities for efficiency, growth, and profitability across key market segments.
+ Lead the process of reviewing current processes and systems to drive improvements that directly impact sales and profitability.
+ Measure and monitor business performance using key performance indicators.
+ Improve performance by evaluating processes and proposing resourceful and thorough approaches to improve bottom-line results in all areas of business.
+ Provide hands-on support and recommendations to promote profitability and efficiency through sales analysis, inventory management, and optimization of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Labor and Opex.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree required
+ 7+ years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 3 years minimum managing a group of sales professionals
+ Apply business acumen to write and understand simple financial calculations
+ Ability to use analytical thinking to summarize and communicate to key decision-makers
+ Excellent process development and enhancement skills
+ Ability to be adaptable with a solid understanding of modern technology
+ Ability to work effectively with other functional areas and understand the operational and commercial issues relevant to achieving superior results
+ Excellent interpersonal and people management skills, client-focused with tenacity to resolve issues and conflicts
+ Creative & Innovative thinking
+ The ability to lead and work effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations
+ Ability to influence stakeholders and cross functional teams
+ Experience having open and candid coaching conversations at all levels
+ Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail
+ Detail oriented and well organized; ensures accuracy and quality
+ Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Ability to travel up to 25%
