Job Title: Material Handler Forklift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler Forklift operator with experience in a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for delivering materials to machine operators, welders, and assemblers, utilizing your expertise in operating sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

+ Pull materials and move them to and from workstations for production, primarily supporting the small parts welding area.

+ Unload trucks using an overhead crane and stage materials in the warehouse.

+ Follow work orders and production schedules to ensure each department has enough materials to run efficiently.

+ Transport finished products from the Small Parts area to the next stage in the production process or store them in the warehouse.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in material handling within a manufacturing environment.

+ Proficiency in operating a sit-down forklift and overhead crane.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with packaging, lifting boxes, and packing orders.

+ Familiarity with production processes, shipping and receiving, and using RF scanners.

+ Experience with unloading, pallet jack usage, and general labor tasks.

Work Environment

This is a direct hire position in a heavy industrial environment where you will be working with a team of over 50 staff members, including warehouse workers, heavy assemblers, machine operators, welders, and paint specialists. The work environment involves manufacturing large vibratory equipment and conveyors for industries such as mining, construction, and oil and gas. Material Handler hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with flexible overtime options that are not mandatory, including Saturdays during busy seasons. The work attire is appropriate for a manufacturing setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $41600.00/yr.
