Hiring a CNC Machine Operator in Morgan Hill! Pay up to $27/hr 4x10 schedule with weekly pay!
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator responsible for operating machines, conducting inspections, loading materials, and ensuring that machines are running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blueprints, math skills, and documentation practices.
Responsibilities
+ Operate Vertical Machining Centers according to written and verbal instructions.
+ Review traveler, set-up instructions, drawings, and inspection forms for each job.
+ Load raw materials into vises and fixtures following instructions.
+ Deburr in-process and completed parts as instructed.
+ Inspect parts according to the Manufacturing Inspection Report and other documentation.
+ Inform the set-up person or Production Lead of any non-conformance or issues.
+ Perform tasks efficiently and effectively.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Suggest improvements to the Production Lead & Production Manager.
+ Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and governmental regulations.
+ Complete other duties as assigned by the Production Lead and Production Manager.
Essential Skills
+ High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience with Vertical Machining Centers.
+ Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Ability to use standard measuring tools effectively.
+ Adequate math skills.
+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
+ Familiarity with tooling, fixturing, and indexers.
+ Capability to complete inspection documentation and recognize out-of-tolerance parts.
+ Ability to train other operators.
+ Good manual dexterity and ability to lift 70 lbs.
+ Experience in an ISO 9001:2008 environment is helpful.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Over 3 years of machine operating experience.
+ Experience with CNC machines, including horizontal and vertical.
+ Understanding of work offset, tool length offset, cutter radius compensation, and wear offset.
+ Troubleshooting skills for tool wear, surface finish issues, dimensional errors, and mechanical inspection.
+ Experience with calipers and deburring.

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic machine shop environment with 55 team members. The role requires minimal supervision and offers a flexible schedule with a 4-hour shift on Fridays. The night shift operates from 4 pm to 2 am with paid lunch, while the day shift is from 6 am to 4:30 pm.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
