As the Associate Analyst - IT Security, you will work onsite at a date center. You will effectively monitor physical security events that could affect client data centers, including personal and asset safety. You will also be responsible for leading event processing follow-ups and reporting, and ensure a secure, stable, and efficient operation of the data centers.
Responsibilities:
+ Incident Response: Manage incident responses and conduct a thorough analysis in case of a security/safety event. Follow defined formal procedures for incident prevention, detection, and mitigation.
+ With close supervision: perform analysis to detect security/safety threats, alerts, or risks and escalates to critical incident response team and/or external authorities, if necessary. Implement security/safety protocols to support the physical protection of company personnel and assets. Deliver and maintain security programs in areas of responsibility.
+ Prepare reports on incidents, breaches, and the effectiveness of the security policies in place. This could involve detailing specific events or trends over a designated period to help inform adjustments to the threat protection measures.
+ Compliance: Ensure adherence to local legal and regulatory standards, including those related to data privacy, datacenter security and health/safety.
+ Continuously improve the efficiency and maturity of the overall physical security program at client data centers, seeking data and recommending strategies and ideas to reduce churn, optimizing resources, implement creative solutions to problems, scale, automate and simplify processes whenever possible.
Qualifications:
+ High School Degree or Equivalent required
+ **MUST SPEAK FLUENT CHINESE OR MANDARIN**
+ Strong observation skills to watch CCTV feeds effectively and spot suspicious activity
+ Ability to operate the security monitoring system accurately and confidently
+ Basic computer skills required
+ Alertness & Decision Making: Must be alert at all times during their shift to respond quickly and effectively to any issues that occur
+ Good decision-making skills to decide best courses of action during a security event.
+ Regulations & Compliance: Basic understanding of the security regulations and compliance issues associated with the operations of a data center
+ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders
+ Some experience in a physical safety/security-related role preferred
+ Background in the datacenter or security industry and experience with large security service companies preferred
