    Job Title: Welder and Wiring Specialist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a versatile and skilled Welder and Wiring Specialist to join our team. This position involves welding steel on machines and conveyor pieces, as well as running conduit pipe for renovations of existing and new machines. The role requires a hybrid of both welding and wiring tasks, depending on daily needs.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform welding tasks on 1/4" thick steel using general welding knowledge, including Stick and MIG techniques.

    + Weld steel components on machines and conveyor systems without the need for a welding test.

    + Run conduit pipe (EMT, Flex) for frequent renovations and installations of both existing and new machines.

    + Engage in both welding and wiring duties, adjusting tasks based on daily requirements.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and flux core welding.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform welding fabrication.

    + Experience with wiring, conduit, and pipe bending.

    + Understanding of production processes and fitting techniques.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + General knowledge of welding, wiring, electrical systems, and maintenance is preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    The majority of work is performed indoors, with occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, dust, and moisture. The role may involve working on rough, muddy, or icy surfaces, and requires frequent exposure to high noise levels, vibrations, and moving equipment parts. Workers are also exposed to materials such as cement, concrete, admixtures, dust, diesel fuel, and other potentially hazardous substances. The work environment includes wet conditions and a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 4:30 PM, with some Saturdays, totaling 40-50 hours per week.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Danville, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
