    Job Title: Construction Laborer

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated construction laborers for our Cedar Rapids location, specializing in pre-engineered metal buildings. In this role, you will be actively involved in erecting metal posts and studs, attaching sheet metal, insulating, and drywalling interiors. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, assisting in moving materials, tools, and operating lifts.

    Responsibilities

    + Erect metal posts and studs.

    + Attach sheet metal using power drills.

    + Insulate and drywall interiors.

    + Assist experienced tradespeople with tasks.

    + Move materials and tools as needed.

    + Operate lifts to access higher work areas.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 6 months of construction experience.

    + Valid Driver's License.

    + Ability to lift 75 lbs.

    + Capability to work from a lift 20ft+ in the air.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with general labor, construction, and concrete.

    + Proficiency in using power and hand tools.

    + Knowledge of sheet metal work and carpentry.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude.

    Work Environment

     

    Our work takes place in new, unoccupied construction buildings with teams of 3-5 people. The standard working hours are from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional extended hours and a couple of Saturdays each month. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt or sweatshirt, and leather work boots.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
