    Who we’re looking for

     

    Toyota’s People & Property Services Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Workplace Strategy Sr. Analyst/ SME.

     

    The primary responsibility of this role is to create succinct strategic plans and workplace strategies by understanding the business needs of various functions within Toyota, analyzing industry benchmarks, planning projects of varied sizes and types as well as developing standards for interior environments.

     

    Reporting to the Workplace Strategy Manager, this role serves as a workplace expert supporting Corporate Shared Services in delivering best-in-class People and Property Services to create and maintain optimal Team Member work environments.

    What you’ll be doing

    • Document and maintain Office Interior workplace standards and guidelines for all office locations in Toyota’s North America portfolio to include furniture, finishes, fixtures, lighting, hardware, equipment, signage, artwork, and entitlements. Develop and document metrics and KPI’s to determine minimum requirements for planning & design best practices.

    • Furniture expertise, understanding of furniture reuse, facility infrastructure, workplace strategies, building decommissioning, and robust design skills.

    • Manage national OEM/Dealer and vendor operational relationships (KPI updates and analysis, strategic partners) and work closely with procurement on contracts for all furniture and FF&E vendors.

    • Create business cases, develop countermeasures/plans, gain consensus regarding standards, analyze risk, and create risk mitigation measures. Read and interpret construction document sets and redline required changes for new construction projects and expansions. Support Office Interiors Renewal projects across the North America portfolio to bring interior environments up to the One Toyota standard.

    • Create professional visual presentations for executive review that convey strategic design options and recommendations for decision support. Competent communication, planning, customer engagement, and negotiation skills. Establish and lead recurring meetings with internal customers, stakeholders, outside AE firms, and vendors to

     

    discuss project status, workplace solutions, strategic initiatives, project updates, and problem-solving initiatives.

     

    • Enter purchase requisitions in Ariba system for vendor POs and approvals for invoice submittals by vendors.

    What you bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or related field.

    • 5+ years of demonstrated work experience in executive visioning, space planning and programming, interior design planning, and project management.

    • Experience with managing customer and cross-organizational relationships (benchmark analysis, workplace solution, and problem solving).

    • Experience reviewing and updating contracts with procurement stakeholders (MSA,(Master Service Agreements) SOW (Scope of Work), and PO (Purchase Orders) Terms and Conditions).

    • Experience using a step-by-step problem-solving approach to identify the root cause of a problem in order to resolve issues and create systemic, sustainable countermeasures.

    • Experience reviewing existing conditions of the built environment to justify and identify the need for new project recommendations.

    • Ability and willingness for 20-30% travel within the US.

    • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position.

    • Architectural firm experience with construction document set and master specification preparation.

    • Toyota Training that supports Toyota Way guiding principles.

    • Professional designation from related associations such as IIDA, IFMA, CoreNet, BOMA, MCR, FMP, SFP, CFM, or PMP.
