The Microsoft Research Redmond lab is seeking a **Senior Business Program Manager** to drive operational excellence and strategic execution across complex programs within Microsoft Research.

Responsibilities
Business Program Evaluation & Improvement:
+ Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and optimize programs based on insights and lessons learned.
+ Partner with leadership to align programs with evolving organizational priorities and drive adoption of change initiatives.
Business Program Excellence & Execution:
+ Evangelize complex programs to stakeholders to gain buy in.
+ Work across teams to ensure all program requirements are understood and can be met.
Business Program Management:
+ Oversee program governance and compliance.
+ Contributes to or leads a portfolio of projects including the project plan, documentation of roles and responsibilities, timelines, milestones for complex programs.
Business Program Planning & Design:
+ Identifies and scopes opportunities to develop new programs and improve current ones.
+ Drives clarity in complex program issues and strives for simplification.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ Experience in project/program management, process design, and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems by applying knowledge and judgment to identify approach and methods.
+ Experience working in Business Operations and/or Finance Environments.
+ Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, etc.) to align business objectives and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
+ Ability to communicate and influence across diverse audiences.
+ Demonstrated impact and influence skills and the ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels.
Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
