    SYRACUSE

    Syracuse Athletics and Legends announced a 10-year partnership that will integrate data and analytics, marketing, ‘Cuse Athletics Fund annual giving, premium seating, and general ticket sales initiatives into a single revenue-driven approach. Legends will support the ‘Cuse Athletics Fund annual fundraising program. Legends’ unique fundraising platform, an essential service embraced by higher education, identifies effective fan and donor engagement strategies to amplify philanthropic giving and other opportunities. The partnership will also ensure that the Orange build upon their legacy of

     

    supporting student-athletes in the classroom and on the playing fields. Legends will also team with Syracuse University’s Falk College of Sport & Human Dynamics to provide education, mentorship, and career opportunities to students.

    THE ROLE

    The Ticket Sales Representative is primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals around the season, group, and premium ticket packages for Syracuse Athletics. This person should be a self-motivated and positive professional. The Ticket Sales Representative will work under the direction and guidance of the Director, Sales & Annual Fundraising.

    ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + The candidate will be responsible for offering a full menu of seating opportunities for Syracuse Football, Men’s Basketball, and Women’s Basketball ticket packages.

    + Coordinate and execute sales calls on all potential customers through provide leads, prospecting, cold callings, and referrals from current customers.

    + Effectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.

    + Participate and contribute in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.

    + Work in conjunction with Syracuse Athletic Department and Ticketing staff to promote and generate sales on all events while providing a great fan experience.

    + Assist with any administrative ticket functions.

    + Assist with any special projects or duties as assigned by Director, Sales & Annual Fundraising.

    + Setting and conducting in arena and out of the office appointments

    + Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, events and game days

    + The candidate will be accountable for certain levels of activity (calls made/appointments set) and goals

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

    + 1-2 years sales experience is preferred

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    + Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills

    + Maintain a professional image and positive attitude

    + Serve as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries that come in through inbound phone calls, email, and social media.

    + Set and conduct in stadium, arena and out of the office sales appointments.

    + Effectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.

    + Reach and exceed individual and team sales revenue goals.

    + Assist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members.

    + Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by partner organization

    + Ability to learn and master software programs including Salesforce CRM and Ticketing platform

    + Ability to handle heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails

    + Candidate should possess excellent time management and organizational skills

    + Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the best

    + Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communication with C-level clients

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    + Candidate must have a strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports

    COMPENSATION

    Competitive pay ($17.60) + incentive opportunities and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
