Racker is excited to welcome applicants for a full-time Senior Clinician-Day Treatment Counselor to support our programs in Ithaca. Qualified candidates will have a LCSW as well as school social work and/or clinical experience . Position supports a team of therapists as we partner with TST BOCES providing intensive, milieu-based mental health services to students with social-emotional and behavioral challenges.

Starting salary range is $60,000-$75,000, depending on experience. Responsibilities

+ Provide clinical supervision to one or more licensed therapists.

+ Provide crisis intervention support to students in need, when assigned therapist is not available.

+ Chair and attend program meetings as requested by the Program Director and the Director of Counseling for School Success.

+ Coordinate team consultation on clinical issues as needed.

+ Coordinate, facilitate and document treatment planning.

+ Review programmatic issues and staff development needs with Program Director and Director of Counseling for School Success.

+ Provide orientation and mentoring to new staff.

+ Facilitate peer supervision groups.

+ Represent the program as requested by the Program Director and Director of Counseling for School Success.

+ Carry reduced clinical caseload

Qualifications

+ Education/Certification: Master’s Degree in Social Work with LCSW licensure or Master’s Degree in relevant mental health field with appropriate advanced certification in the field of specialty

+ Skills/Abilities: Ability to provide effective mental health support to youth and their families, function as a member of a multidisciplinary team and provide effective clinical supervision

+ Knowledge: Understanding of the needs of children with social, emotional and behavioral problems and the needs of their families. Understanding of clinical supervision perspectives and strategies

+ Physical Requirements: ability to operate standard office equipment.
