• Loan Funding Specialist - Full Time

    At Genisys Credit Union, we value our employees who are essential to our ongoing growth and success as a financial institution of choice. We are currently seeking motivated candidates for a Full Time Loan Funding Specialist position at our Home Office in Auburn Hills, MI.

    Position Purpose

    The primary focus of this position is to process and fund incoming loan applications for all External Lending (Consumer) loans which include indirect dealer and direct loans received through all participating programs, as well as maintain title and lien proof and insurance coverage tracking for all segments as required. This position will work directly with management to ensure consistency and quality in all aspects of loan funding, and implement efficient funding processes.

    Job Duties (include but not limited to):

    + Process approved External Lending loan applications until funded when appropriate and necessary.

    + Interact with members via phone, e-mail and other media as appropriate.

    + Process and payout indirect and direct loans.

    + Provide members with information necessary to make informed decisions regarding their financial transactions.

    + Inform dealerships of loan approvals as required.

    + Maintain ongoing and strong relationships with new and existing dealerships and other participating programs via phone and e-mail communications.

    + Resolve approval and/or funding issues that may arise with dealerships and other participating programs in a timely manner.

    + Complete “welcome” calls to all funded indirect and direct loans and cross-sell lending and other credit union products as appropriate.Update Indirect Procedure Manual as needed.

    + Answer questions related to indirect and direct lending.

    + Handle title / lien proof and insurance coverage tracking for participating direct loan programs.

    Qualifications:

    + High school graduate or equivalent

    + Minimum of two years financial and/or lending experience preferred.

    Skills/Abilities:

    + Ability to promote a positive team atmosphere.

    + Self-starter with an ability to work independently.

    + Strong research and problem resolution skills.

    + Ability to work well with others in all areas of the Credit Union.

    + Ability to handle full workload as needed.

    + Strong attention to detail

    + Good judgment and analytical skills.

    + Strong typing abilities.
