As an E-Commerce Jewelry Expert, you will be instrumental in sorting, assessing, and identifying valuable jewelry items to be sold online. You’ll use your expertise to determine the value, photograph, describe, and list items with accuracy. Your role is key in ensuring our online jewelry offerings are presented to customers in a way that maximizes visibility and value.

Your Typical Day:
+ Exemplify Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s mission, vision, and values in all aspects of the work
+ Sort, evaluate, and identify items by value for online sale.
+ Use provided equipment to verify jewelry specifications (e.g., cut, weight, carat, metal).
+ Pay strong attention to detail in writing accurate, high-quality descriptions for resale.
+ List items with comprehensive and grammatically correct descriptions.
+ Research specialty items to ensure proper, creative descriptions that maximize exposure and reflect value.
+ Follow posting procedures, assigning listing numbers and maintaining proper storage of items awaiting purchase.
+ Photograph items accurately using a digital camera or smartphone to best represent the products.
+ Communicate effectively with customers via email to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide excellent customer service.
+ Adhere to established policies and procedures for online sales, including standards of operation.
+ Prepare items for accurate shipment.
+ Meet or exceed daily listing and/or shipping goals.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
+ Foster a positive work environment by communicating respectfully and effectively with customers, coworkers, and leadership.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned, including listing non-jewelry items to meet listing and shipping goals.
What You’ll Need:
+ Strong knowledge of jewelry, collectibles, and art , with the ability to research items online to determine their value.
+ Previous experience in the jewelry industry preferred; GIA/FGA certification is a plus.
+ Past e-commerce experience is preferred.
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Proficient in using computers and navigating online sales platforms, payment systems, and shipping systems.
+ Experience with digital photography or smartphone photography.
+ A good eye for capturing high-quality images that accurately represent the items.
+ Creative writing skills and keen attention to detail.
+ Quick learner with the ability to retain and apply new information.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
+ Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb, and crawl.
+ Capable of moving racks, bins, and stock, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
+ Ability to stand for extended periods.
