    Description of Work Unit

    Colorado State University’s ( CSU ) Office of Sponsored Programs ( OSP ) invites nominations and applications for the position of Research Administrator (Administrator). Sponsored Programs is the primary coordinating and managerial office for externally funded activities of a contractual nature at CSU . OSP oversees the full-range of research administration from proposal review and submission to final invoicing and project close-out.

    Position Summary

    + Review and assist in the preparation of research proposals for submission.

    + Coordinate with research teams to ensure proposals meet all necessary requirements and deadlines.

    + Assist with non-financial requests such as no-cost extensions, budget reallocation, and other administrative tasks as needed.

    + This is a temporary position requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week.

    + We expect this assignment to be 6+ months.

    Position Minimum Qualifications

    + 2+ years previous experience in research administration.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience as an Authorized Organizational Representative ( AOR )

    + Ability to work during 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MDT

    + Experience with NOAA , Department of Energy and NASA proposals

    + Experience with Kuali Research

    + Liaison between the sponsors and faculty/unit administrators to ensure proposals meet cost accounting standards, sponsor terms and conditions, and institutional policies and procedures.

    + Analyze and approve proposals for submission on behalf of the University, using Federal regulations and requirements, sponsor guidelines, University policies, and electronic administration systems.
