    Job Description

    Job Summary:

    Mercury Systems is seeking top tier talent to help deliver cutting-edge technology for mission critical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most. This RF Engineer is responsible for developing high-performance RF subassemblies composed of RF/Microwave components using both chip & wire and surface mount technologies. The ideal engineer will collaborate effectively with program management, operations, supply chain, and quality to support the success of innovative defense programs.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Design RF circuits using simulation tools such as Microwave Office, Visual System Simulator, HFSS.

    + Develop and execute test procedures, including acceptance test procedures (ATP) and qualification test procedures (QTP)

    + Validate and debug of prototype hardware to ensure performance and reliability

    + Support the design of RF module test capabilities

    + Learn and apply advanced manufacturing techniques for RF modules

    + Collaborate and effectively communicate with cross-functional product teams

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or related STEM discipline

    + Typically requires a minimum of 2 -4 years of high reliability military, aerospace or defense electronics manufacturing

    + Hands on experience testing and troubleshooting RF/Microwave, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuits

    + Proficiency with electrical and/or RF test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators, etc.

    + Understanding of RF theory

    + Experience using RF simulation tools such as Microwave Office, ADS, HFSS

     

    "This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens."

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master's degree in electrical engineering, or related STEM discipline

    + Experience in the design and testing of common RF modules such as power amplifiers, up-converters, down converters, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters

    + Experience with Phase Noise testing

    + Knowledge of military standards related to RF systems

    + Hands on experience with high frequency surface mount designs

    + Proficiency with Cadence Allegro or equivalents

    + Demonstrated experience in creation of test procedures
