Campus Title Testing Center Coordinator

Position Summary
The Testing Center Coordinator is a new, 12-month position within the Office of Accessibility Services ( OAS ) at SUNY Geneseo. The Testing Center Coordinator is responsible for coordinating accommodated exams and overseeing daily operations of the testing facility to align with compliance per the Americans with Disabilities Act ( ADA ) and Section 504. The Coordinator will hire, schedule, and train student staff for proctoring. This position requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including students, OAS staff, faculty, and departmental personnel throughout campus.
The Coordinator will also oversee OAS assistive technology, provide students with training and support, and educate the campus community about available assistive technology. During academic breaks, this position will assist with Electronic and Information Technology ( EIT ) goals and initiatives for digital and document accessibility.
This position is Monday through Friday, in-person during active Test Center operations.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 3-5 years of office experience working with computer technology
+ Experience working with people with disabilities
+ A strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for a diverse population
+ Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without a VISA sponsorship.

Job Duty/ Responsibility
Using the Accommodate data management system, coordinate all test appointments, facilitation of test accommodations, and receipt and return of tests to faculty. Maintain the Test Center facility, computers, and assistive technology. Create, revise, communicate and enforce Test Center policies and procedures.

Train and oversee undergraduate student proctors, and assist the OAS Administrative Assistant with scheduling work hours

Job Duty/ Responsibility
Oversee and maintain the OAS’s inventory of adaptive/assistive technology, keep track of products and equipment that are loaned to students, train students to use assistive technology, and educate the campus community about available assistive technology.

During academic breaks, collaborate and consult with CIT and Instructional Design on accessibility initiatives/address the accessibility and assist with the remediation of website and office documents as needed.
