    Job Description

    An offshore O&G operator in The Woodlands, TX is looking for an Automation Systems Engineer to join their Automation Engineering team. This role will support Integrated Control Safety System (ICSS) upgrades.

    Responsibilities include:

    *Strategic Engineering Input:

    • Identify ICSS system obsolescence and propose upgrade paths.

    • Specify procurement needs for compatible hardware/software.

    • Define engineering scope aligned with project goals.

    *Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Work with internal teams (e.g., Oxy Automation Ops, Cyber Security).

    • Coordinate with external partners (system integrators, contractors).

    • Participate in alignment meetings to finalize upgrade strategies.

    *Technical Communication

    • Share updates and decisions with stakeholders.

    • Maintain accurate and current documentation.

    *Testing and Validation Support

    • Support FAT/SAT procedure development.

    • Assist with lab setup and execution for validation.

    Skills and Requirements

    *10+ years of Automation Systems Engineering experience within O&G industry

    *Experience with Rockwell Allen Bradley Systems

    *Experience with Honeywell Experian

    *Experience with Aveva HMI – Systems Platform

    *O&G operational experience *Offshore O&G experience
