$2,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible full-time and part-time new employees joining UW Medicine

UW Medical Center-Montlake Environmental Services** has multiple employment opportunities for **Day and Evening Hospital Custodians.

WORK SCHEDULE

+ 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift, 7:00am-3:00pm (7:30am-4:00pm) - Rotating every other weekend.

+ 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Evening Shift, 3:00pm – 11:00pm - Rotating every other weekend.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Maintaining cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assigned

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Cleans and disinfects all furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to procedure

+ Removes and properly handles soiled linen; disinfects and remakes beds in patient rooms; dust and wet mops hard floors with disinfectant

+ Performs bloodborne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedure

+ Strips, cleans, buffs, and applies finish to floors. Uses high speed floor buffers, polishers, and automated floors scrubbers

+ Performs in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical, obstetrical, and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according to procedure

+ Vacuums and spot clean carpets; operates automated carpet shampooers and extractors

+ Performs cleaning and related activities in areas within a reasonable distance outside of the facility using hand-operated tools or small power equipment to remove snow or debris, and sweep sidewalks or stairs

+ Complies with safety policies and procedures and medical center emergency and disaster procedures

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$44,100.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$61,152.00 annual

Other Compensation:

$2,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible full-time and part-time new employees

Evening Shift Differential: $1.75 per hour

Weekend Shift Differential: $2.00 per hour
