    Job Summary/Purpose:

    The Facility Maintenance Technician, under general supervision, is responsible for the maintenance & repair of identified Company facilities and structures.

    You Will:

    • Monitor daily facility system operations including but not limited to, HVAC, water pressure, building equipment, etc. during normal business hours and after hours “on-call” as needed.

    • Maintain all records and logbooks of all alarm tests and preventative maintenance items.

    • Schedule and coordinate tests/inspections required for the safe efficient operation of the facility.

    • Provide information, assessments & recommendations to Manager regarding maintenance and repair items, including competitive bids or quotes for the performance of work as requested.

    • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.

    • Perform all general repairs and maintenance as directed (hands-on) and coordinate external quotes for work as necessary.

    • Order parts and supplies as needed.

    • Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field to uphold responsibilities as a subject matter expert.

    You Have:

    • Possession of a high school diploma or successful completion of General Educational Development Test required, supplemented with college courses or vocational training in HVAC, Facility Maintenance, Electrical, Plumbing, Construction, Landscaping or another related field.

    • General knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing principles preferred.

    • Minimum of three to five years of related work experience.

    • Facility operations experience preferred.

    • Possess a valid State of Michigan Driver’s License and eligible for Company provided vehicle insurance.

    Skill Requirement(s):

    • Motivated self-starter, dependable, responsible with attention to detail.

    • Good analytical and organizational skills.

    • Good customer service orientation.

    • Good working knowledge of various personal computer business software applications presently used by the Company.

    • Ability to learn new systems or software packages as necessary.

    Other Requirement(s):

    • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective interactions and communications with co-workers, customers and management.

    • Must maintain a safe environment for co-workers, customers and the public through adherence to established safety standards and timely reporting of potential hazards.

    • Must adhere to Company policies & procedures related to code of business ethics, compliance, responsible use of Company assets, and all applicable state and federal laws.

    Work Environment:

    Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment and may involve exposure to moderate noise levels related to building operational systems (HVAC, Fire System, etc.) or from tools and work equipment necessary to perform job duties. Occasional field work may involve exposure to temperature, dust, noise and requires the use of personal protective equipment. May be required to work in confined spaces, on ladders and in adverse weather conditions. Duties may involve driving, sitting, bending, stooping, walking, climbing, crawling, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, fine finger movement and lifting objects up to 75 lbs. Regular travel to other local facility locations to perform work duties and occasional travel to various other local facilities may also be required, depending on assignment.

     

    We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $79,750 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
