Overview
We are hiring an analytical Senior Accountant for Finance to help with accounting, reporting, and compliance for several brands. This role serves as a key financial advisor to the finance team. Candidate must be open to a dynamic environment and will require the ability to dive into the details while also managing from the top. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of finance and accounting experience, preferably within the media or advertising industry.
You will report to the Controller, Finance.
Responsibilities
+ Month-end close: Assist the Controller to help drive the month-end close process for multiple entities within Publicis Media US on the revenue and expense side. Including, but not limited to managing/updating PL and revenue templates to help determine accruals, reclassifications and other adjustments needed to finalize and report on month-end results flash and actual.
+ Balance Sheet reconciliations/Internal controls: preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for multiple entities. Prepare and assist Controller in analyzing Publicis Media balances by segment.
+ Revenue recognition: Understand key revenue recognition principles such as signed contract, timing of revenue and project cost recognition per agency schedules/trackers and client contracts. Revenue accruals and deferrals needed in line with matching principle. Help to finalize and report net revenue numbers.
+ Communication: Always actively collaborating with agency revenue and other leads to ensuring key information/guidance relating to billing, revenue and expenses is received timely.
+ Corporate Sustainability Reporting: Work with HR to collect and submit quarterly CSR reporting.
+ Excel: Intermediate abilities that includes knowledge of pivot tables, sum/ifs, count, lookup, text modification and other elementary formulas and managing large data sets and ability to manage various files containing financial information to draw financial insights and conclusions.
+ Company policies and procedures: Overtime become familiar with Publicis Groupe Janus I and II Guiding Accounting, ethics and operational policies.
+ Billing: Ensure timely billing in accordance with client SOWs and as directed by agency revenue leads.
+ SSC Resource oversight: Ensure SSC offshore accounting resource is timely and accurate in terms of job, PO, vendor and client creations.
Qualifications
+ Education: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration preferred.
+ Desire work experience: 2-3 years prior experience in a prior accounting/finance position where individual was involved in month-end close and reporting.
+ Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, sumifs)
+ Experience with financial systems (preferably with HFM and SAP)
+ Shown proficiency in juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
+ Experience in media, advertising or marketing is a plus

Compensation Range: $73,910.00 - $116,380.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
