Casual , 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Variable hours and every other weekend.
Job Summary
Coordinates emergent and non-emergent requests for Corewell Health Security services. Acts as a liaison between Staff, Patients, and Visitors by dispatching Campus Security Officers to routine and emergency calls for service. Receives and coordinates radio and telephone communications for Corewell Health. Prioritizes calls for service based on urgency and initiates appropriate action. Queries callers to obtain detailed incident information, records all officer duties and activities via our Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). Operates and monitors multiple security system technologies including systems for video management, access control, panic/duress, infant protection, fire alarms, medical emergency code system, and 800MHz radio communication. Performs security technology system preventative maintenance checks, system troubleshooting, and initiates work orders to address identified issues. Notifies appropriate supervisors, managers, leadership, and/or business assurance of critical alarms or incidents on a 24-hour basis.
Essential Functions
+ Obtains all pertinent incident information and accurately communicates to responding parties.
+ Prioritizes calls for service based on urgency and initiates appropriate action.
+ Operates and monitors multiple security systems technologies including video, alarm systems, medical emergency code system, and 800MHz radio communication.
+ 20 hours of Continuing Dispatch Education (CDE) required per year once hired.
+ Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 2 years of relevant experience
+ 1 year of Microsoft office experience
Preferred
+ Associate’s degree
+ BLS preferred
