Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Position
Program Leadership and Development:
+ Establish and develop: Take the lead in building and growing a comprehensive neuromodulation program. This involves defining the program's scope, objectives, and policies.
+ Strategic planning: Work in conjunction with physicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to develop a vision, roadmap, and competitive positioning for the program.
+ Performance improvement: Implement strategies and initiatives to improve clinical outcomes, patient safety, and efficiency within the program.
Clinical Responsibilities:
+ Acts as an expert resource clinical practitioner and role model in caring for and assisting with planning, implementing and evaluating care of neuromodulation patients.
+ Advocates for patients and family members, by designing policies and services that promote patient rights and optimal environments of care, building on customer satisfaction.
+ Patient education: Educate patients and their families about neuromodulation therapies, treatment options, and post-operative care.
Collaboration and communication:
+ Collaborates with physician leaders, specialists, nursing, service line team members, and other disciplines on neuromodulation program policies, procedures, and protocols to improve outcomes for patients and enhance the healthcare environment.
+ Maintain strong communication with leadership, team members, patients, and families.
+ Engage in community outreach activities to promote awareness and understanding of neuromodulation therapies.
Operations/Administrative Responsibilities:
+ Continuously monitors operational efficiency of the neuromodulation program
+ Responsible for participating in program marketing
+ Reviews capital resource requirements needed for the program and this information will be communicated with the neuroscience director
Research:
+ Develops and participates in neuromodulation research studies
+ Interprets and applies new evidence into care practice
+ Shares and applies current research and literature in specialty area in direct care, educational, consultant and resource roles
Patient Navigation:
+ Identify appropriate patients for neuromodulation therapies
+ Guide patients through the neuromodulation process
+ Care coordination (scheduling appointments, facilitating communications, providing resources and assisting with billing questions)
Growth and Development:
+ Demonstrates the commitment to continual learning and professional growth
Requirements:
Excellent Communication & interpersonal skills
Highly organized
Effective organizational and time management skills necessary to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
Proficient with various applications such as MS office suite and EMRs
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Relevant Experience:
3-5 years of acute care experience preferred
Neurology experience preferred
License/Certification:
RN licensure from state of New Jersey
