You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Director of Radiology Transformation like you to be a part of our team.

    Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of Radiology Transformation (also known as the Product Owner of Telemetry) serves as the “CEO of the use case,” responsible for leading HCA’s enterprise radiology optimization journey. This role begins with a discovery phase to understand current-state variability in radiology workflows, infrastructure, and vendor maturity. Building on this foundation, the Director of the Telemetry Product’s transformation will guide the selection and validation of high-value AI use cases, deliver ROI-driven pilot recommendations, and oversee transformation efforts that reduce diagnostic delays, standardize imaging workflows, and improve patient safety.

As the bridge between radiologists, emergency department leaders, facility executives, technical experts, and vendor partners, the Director translates organizational priorities into a clear roadmap, product backlog, and measurable outcomes. The role ensures alignment with HCA’s Clinical AI value drivers—improving patient safety, increasing care efficiency, and maximizing the value of clinical resources.

In addition, the Director drives decision-quality economic evaluation of radiology workflow modernization—translating operational improvements into quantified business outcomes. This includes modeling rate and yield performance, productivity and throughput impacts, and cost-to-serve to inform contracting strategy, partnership options, and technology selection.

DT&I’s mission is to bring innovative technology solutions to the clinical and administrative frontline of HCA, re-shaping healthcare processes to improve patient outcomes, empower clinicians with insights, and drive greater efficiency for all. In this role you will be responsible for innovating our care team processes, making them more intelligent, impactful, and efficient. In so doing, you will help our clinicians provide the best care possible and have a better experience in their work.

What you will do in this role:

    Product Vision and Strategy

+ Develop and communicate a clear product vision for radiology AI optimization that begins with discovery and evolves into pilot and transformation delivery

+ Define strategy and roadmap focused on improving turnaround times, reducing workflow variability, and leveraging AI in radiology processes

+ Manage dependencies with ITG, vendor partners, and other clinical domains; ensure alignment across use case/data product roadmaps

+ Define the value logic for radiology optimization and AI adoption, linking turnaround-time reductions, escalation reliability, and capacity release to measurable financial outcomes

+ Oversee the development and implementation of the product, ensuring it adheres to the defined vision and goals, including the development of reusable, modular components (i.e., limited one-off or “tech-debt” code)

+ Build scenario-based roadmaps balancing clinical outcomes, operational feasibility, and economic return (e.g., build/buy/partner, phased deployment, site archetypes)

+ Work with the Domain Leader to set aspirational and achievable Objectives and Key Results (OKRs); regularly adjust product strategy and pod direction based on OKR attainment

    Backlog Management

+ Create, prioritize, and maintain a product backlog (backlog grooming) that aligns with business goals and progress towards sprint goals and quarterly targets / OKRs

+ Ensure user stories reflect radiology workflow needs, PACS/EHR integration requirements, AI vendor evaluations, and baseline metric development

+ Prioritize epics that enable rate/yield baselining, vendor TCO assessment, and performance instrumentation required for value tracking and go/no-go decisions

+ Ensure user stories and requirements are clearly articulated and aligned with the vision

+ Work with the Tech Lead and other engineers to estimate the level of effort for each user story

+ Continuously refine and adjust the backlog to meet changing priorities and new insights

    Stakeholder Collaboration

+ Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, feedback, and insights, ensuring alignment on strategy

+ Partner with Finance, Corporate Development, and Radiology leadership to validate assumptions, align on rate and yield targets, and ensure analyses meet executive decision standards

+ Coordinate with Data & Reporting teams to operationalize dashboards that benchmark quality, cost, and productivity and track realized benefits post-pilot

+ Escalate and unblock any pod members' dependencies/needs. Facilitate communication between pod members and other teams or shared services

+ Act as the primary point of contact for all radiology product-related queries and decisions

+ Serve as the “voice of the customer,” ensuring solutions reflect frontline clinician and operational needs

    Agile Process Participation

+ Lead Sprint ceremonies Planning, Retrospectives, Demos, and Stand-Ups to ensure smooth execution of product development

+ Ensure outputs include radiology-specific deliverables such as workflow maps, baseline imaging performance metrics, ROI models, and pilot recommendation packages

+ Determine which user stories are completed in each sprint to achieve OKRs

+ Lead Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo, and Sprint Retrospective alongside the Scrum Master

+ Ensure product increments are delivered on time and meet the defined acceptance criteria

+ Track product performance and use data to inform decisions and future iterations
