The Volunteer Coordinator manages all aspects of hospital volunteer services, ensuring that volunteers are effectively recruited, trained, and assigned to meet organizational and patient care needs. This role coordinates requests from hospital departments, responds to patient-focused service needs, and partners with community organizations such as the Red Cross to support special events. The Volunteer Coordinator enhances the patient, family, and staff experience by maintaining a strong, reliable volunteer workforce that aligns with hospital values and regulatory standards.
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in volunteer coordination, program management, or related administrative role. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with scheduling systems and Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software. Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or related field, preferred. Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting, preferred. Knowledge of volunteer management best practices and community outreach, preferred.
