Job Description
The Business Coordinator I, under direction, performs complex professional accounting and serves as the front office liaison, while providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Entries
+ Computes and prepares journal entries or manual batches and analyzes posting accuracy.
+ Classifies, codes, posts, and balances financial and accounting transactions on various accounts
+ Maintains electronic financial record controls for retention compliance.
+ Reviews all departmental deposit requests for accuracy and provides guidance to maintain compliance with state, federal, or campus polices and procedures.
+ Assists with departmental control of merchandise sales.
+ Reconciles state revenues and prepares data needed to remit funds to state banks (USAS)
+ Prepares all entries needed to record state and local reimbursement activity.
Financial Reports & Reconciliations
+ Downloads daily and monthly bank reports.
+ Reconciles financial accounts and banking activities.
+ Monitors completeness of all financial reconciliations.
+ Completes various Annual Financial Reporting schedules assigned during the year-end process.
+ Assures compliance with all standards, policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements
Education – Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience – Two years of related experience.
Knowledge of –Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
Ability to – Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Oral and written communication skills. Customer service and problem solving skills.
