Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Technician to support the modeling and coordination of electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and mission-critical construction projects. In this role, you’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop accurate and constructible BIM models that drive efficiency, reduce conflicts, and support successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and maintain 3D electrical models using Revit and Navisworks.
+ Collaborate with other trades (mechanical, plumbing, structural) to ensure full coordination of electrical systems.
+ Perform clash detection and assist in resolving design conflicts before construction.
+ Generate layout drawings, installation details, and fabrication-ready documentation.
+ Support field teams with model-based installation guidance and updates.
+ Assist in the creation and implementation of BIM Execution Plans and project-specific standards.
+ Integrate manufacturer content and specifications into models for accuracy.
+ Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical input on constructability.
+ Maintain version control and ensure models align with project schedules and milestones.
+ Support laser scanning, point cloud integration, and as-built modeling when applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
+ Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM tools.
+ Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices.
+ Experience in MEP coordination, especially electrical layouts and riser diagrams.
+ Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schematics, and specifications.
+ Familiarity with BIM workflows, clash detection, and model-based collaboration.
+ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of experience in BIM modeling for electrical or MEP systems.
+ Experience working on data centers, healthcare, or other complex building types.
+ Knowledge of prefabrication modeling and fabrication workflows.
+ Familiarity with AutoCAD MEP, Trimble SysQue, or similar tools.
+ Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical Design, or related field.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00/hr.
