    Job Title: Lead-Based Paint Inspector/Risk AssessorJob Description

     

    Join a dedicated team as a Lead-Based Paint Inspector or Risk Assessor, where you will play a crucial role in protecting public health and promoting safety. This full-time position requires meticulous inspection and reporting to ensure safe environments for communities across Pennsylvania. The company specializes in environmental due diligence, compliance, and industrial hygiene services, providing professional expertise to a diverse range of clients.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct thorough inspections of residential, commercial, and public buildings for lead-based paint hazards.

    + Utilize XRF (X-ray fluorescence) equipment and other testing methods to accurately identify lead-based paint.

    + Document findings, measurements, and observations according to regulatory standards and company protocols.

    + Provide clear and concise reports outlining inspection results, including recommendations for remediation or abatement.

    + Collect lead dust wipe samples using approved methods and equipment, ensuring accurate and precise sample collection and handling to avoid contamination.

    + Document and record sample collection locations, times, and conditions.

    + Prepare samples for laboratory analysis and ensure chain of custody procedures are followed.

    + Communicate effectively with property owners, tenants, and stakeholders regarding inspection results and next steps.

    + Stay updated on jurisdictional regulations, guidelines, and best practices related to lead-based paint inspection and management.

    + Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

    + Work independently and within a team on nonrecurring and ongoing projects.

    + Collect payments while in the field and maintain regular communication with office staff.

    + Coordinate with office staff and complete other tasks as required.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in inspection, quality assurance, and quality control.

    + Knowledge of environmental compliance and OSHA regulations.

    + Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.

    + Ability to perform quality inspections and visual inspections.

    + Completion of an Accredited Training Course: Enroll in and successfully complete an EPA-accredited Lead Inspector Training course.

    + Pass a Certification Exam: Successfully pass a certification exam administered by an EPA-approved certifying body.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response).

    Work Environment

    The role requires traveling to various project sites across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and DC, involving both residential and commercial locations. The company promotes a flexible and family-oriented culture, offering annual raises, training and refreshers, along with 401K and benefits.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Baltimore, Maryland.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr.

     

    Flexible PTO, benefits and working hours. Provides performance based annual raises for employees. Will compensate for off hours. Mileage reimbursement for $.65 for every mile driven.

    This is a fully onsite position in Baltimore,MD.
