Job Title: Construction Materials TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking an entry-level Construction Materials Technician to join our team. The role involves testing concrete for slump, density, and moisture in a laboratory setting. You will receive in-house training from experienced employees.
Responsibilities
+ Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors regarding construction site requirements and testing results.
+ Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
+ Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the project manager.
+ Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
+ Assist with scheduling and dispatching technicians to project sites.
+ Adhere to strict safety standards.
+ Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
+ Progressively increase role and responsibilities through training and work assignments.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with concrete and construction materials.
+ American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certification.
+ Previous Construction Materials Testing (CMT) experience - 3+ years.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certifications from KYTC, ICC, or similar organizations.
Work Environment
The position involves working in both field and lab environments, with typical working hours from Monday to Saturday, ranging from 8-10 hour days. During the summer, expect to work more hours than in the winter. The nature of the industry means there is no guarantee of 40 hours per week. Overtime is available after 40 hours. Opportunities to work on some of the largest projects in the state across various industries, including industrial, power, and private sectors. Hands-on training and company-sponsored certifications and extra training are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
