We are seeking a mid-level Project Manager to join our team in Fairfax, VA. This position involves working on diverse construction projects, including 13 new projects won recently. The role requires both remote work and on-site presence as needed. Candidates should have over 5 years of project management experience, with a preference for those with federal base experience.
Responsibilities
+ Plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.
+ Organize and oversee construction procedures, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
+ Understand project specifications and interpret contract drawings.
+ Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
+ Plan construction operations and schedule phases to meet deadlines.
+ Oversee the delivery and use of materials, tools, equipment, safety, productivity, and construction quality.
+ Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports, ensuring project documents are current and stored properly.
+ Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and report any issues.
+ Determine resource needs with a focus on budgetary limitations.
+ Identify, track, manage, and resolve project issues.
+ Prepare and submit monthly invoicing and progress reports.
+ Communicate with and direct subcontractors, material suppliers, and field personnel.
+ Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders, and review and prepare submittals as necessary.
Essential Skills
+ Proven experience as a construction project manager.
+ Well-versed in construction methodologies and procedures.
+ Ability to coordinate a team of professionals from different disciplines.
+ In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
+ Knowledge in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, tiling, and other building/repair trades.
+ Familiarity with quality standards and health and safety requirements.
+ Experience with Project Management systems such as Timberline, Procore, P6 Primavera.
+ Effective oral and written communication skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to maintain several projects simultaneously, complying with safety, quality, and technical protocols.
+ Eligibility to work in the US or US Citizenship.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Must be willing to travel 10-20% around the Hampton Roads for meetings.
+ Ability to work closely with individuals of diverse backgrounds and authority levels.
+ Must provide references to support work history.
+ Must clear Pre-employment Drug Testing and Background Check.
Work Environment
The job site is located throughout Northern VA. This position involves a mix of remote work and in-office or trailer presence as needed. Travel within the region may be required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Herndon, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/hr.
