Job Title: Converting Operator
Job Description
As a Converting Operator, you will be responsible for operating machines used in flexible packaging, such as labels and print on boxes. You will also utilize and maintain mounting equipment, ensuring cleanliness throughout your shift. Handling and cleaning plates used as molds, with inspection required before each use, will also be part of your duties.
Responsibilities
+ Operate machines for flexible packaging.
+ Utilize and maintain mounting equipment.
+ Ensure cleanliness of equipment throughout the shift.
+ Handle and clean plates used as molds.
+ Inspect plates before use for a print run.
Essential Skills
+ 6+ months of machine operation experience.
+ 1+ year of experience within a manufacturing setting.
+ Mechanically inclined.
+ Experience in assembly and production lines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Press Operator experience is a plus.

Work Environment
Work in a smaller, family-owned and operated company with a strong sense of community. The environment is accommodating to personal family matters but expects dedication during work hours. Dress code includes steel toe boots, jeans or work pants without holes, and a t-shirt. PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection are provided. Shift schedules are 5-1 for the first shift and 1-9 for the second shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
