Job Title: Dryer Operator
Job Description
Join our Food Drying Department as a Dryer Operator, where you will play a key role in the drying and packaging of bulk Food Grade Ferrous Sulfate, adhering to Work Instructions and SOPs. You will be responsible for meeting daily production needs, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring proper housekeeping in production areas.
Responsibilities
+ Dry and package bulk Food Grade Ferrous Sulfate according to Work Instructions and SOPs.
+ Meet daily production level needs as determined by management.
+ Follow safety requirements and maintain production areas with proper housekeeping.
+ Maintain proper stock rotation of FG approved Moist Ferrous Sulfate.
+ Move material with a skid steer.
+ Complete Work Orders and Production Records.
+ Sample product for QC testing.
+ Complete shift change cleaning requirements.
+ Move, mix, dry, and store material through a four-step process using forklifts and dryer machines.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in production and machine operation.
+ Proficiency in operating sit-down forklifts.
+ Ability to consistently lift 55 pounds.
+ Experience in food production, dryer operation, and food manufacturing.
+ Knowledge of GMP and cGMP standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working in the Food and Beverage industry.
+ Experience with machine troubleshooting.

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing setting where you will encounter dust on the floors and a scent reminiscent of pennies. Employees can wear an N95 mask or scarf for comfort, although the material is not hazardous to health. The role involves working in a dirty environment with the smell of iron salt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
