Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our client's team in Miamisburg, Ohio. In this long-term REMOTE contract role, you will play a vital part in supporting our accounting and collections operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record journal entries with precision and timeliness.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and internal financial guidelines.

• Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and conduct follow-ups on overdue invoices.

• Document all collection activities and maintain up-to-date customer records.

• Collaborate with internal departments to address billing concerns and discrepancies.

• Escalate unresolved delinquent accounts to appropriate channels.

• Support ad hoc financial projects and requests as needed.

Requirements • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or collections.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Dynamics AX.

• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.

• Experience with QuickBooks and data entry processes is a plus.
