    Description

    We are hiring a Benefits Specialist to join our client’s HR team in Harrisburg, PA. This role is key to ensuring employees have access to high-quality benefits while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. The successful candidate will manage benefit programs, assist employees with inquiries, coordinate with vendors, and support open enrollment processes. The Benefits Specialist is responsible for administering and managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. This role involves assisting employees with benefit inquiries, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies, and acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee the enrollment, modification, and termination of employee benefits, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

    + Provide guidance to employees on benefits options, eligibility, and claims processes.

    + Ensure all benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

    + Collaborate with insurance carriers and third-party administrators to resolve issues and improve service delivery.

    + Maintain accurate records of benefits transactions and prepare reports as needed.

    + Assist in the planning and execution of annual open enrollment periods.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

    + Minimum of 2 years in benefits administration or a related HR role.

    + Familiarity with employee benefits programs and relevant legislation (e.g., ACA, HIPAA).

    + Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    + Proficiency in HRIS and benefits management software.
