Job Title: Painter

Job Description

Join our team as a Painter where you will perform hanging, unloading, pre-staging, masking, and painting operations to established standards. The process is easily repeatable, requiring minimal troubleshooting and adjustments. You will follow pre-established guidelines, procedures, plans, and priorities as set by the supervisor while understanding continuous improvement opportunities of paint processes. You will also maintain paint equipment in good operating order and receive training in the paint booth to learn powder coat painting.

Responsibilities

+ Perform hanging, unloading, pre-staging, masking, and painting operations to established standards.

+ Follow pre-established guidelines, procedures, plans, and priorities as set by the supervisor.

+ Understand continuous improvement opportunities of paint processes.

+ Maintain paint equipment in good operating order.

+ Train in the paint booth to learn powder coat painting.

Essential Skills

+ 6+ months of painting experience.

+ Industrial painting experience.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.

+ Ability to bend, twist, or turn repeatedly throughout the shift.

+ Good work history, even if it is not in manufacturing.

+ Effective communication skills.

+ Good memorization skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in powder coat painting is preferred.

+ Experience in commercial or residential painting.

+ Experience with spray paint, paint prep, production, paint booth, and spray gun.

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing facility that is not air-conditioned and can get hot during the summer. However, it features very nice lighting with skylights and high ceilings, creating a spacious work environment. The team-oriented atmosphere is further enhanced by air-conditioned paint suits, offering comfort during hot summer days.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
