Accounts Payable Specialist (Full Cycle AP) – Farmingdale, Long Island, NY

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a passion for efficiency and precision?

Anna Parson at Robert Half, in partnership with a well-established Manufacturing and Distribution company, is searching for a detail-oriented, adaptable professional ready to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will:

+ Manage Full Cycle Accounts Payable, including 3-way matching, coding invoices to General Ledger accounts, obtaining approvals, and processing payments via check and ACH.

+ Conduct vendor reconciliations and resolve inquiries promptly and professionally.

+ Process AP for multiple entities, showcasing your ability to handle volume with accuracy and efficiency.

+ Leverage your Manufacturing or Distribution industry experience to support business operations.

+ Demonstrate Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) to analyze and export data.

+ Adapt quickly to the company’s ERP system using your prior systems knowledge.

Seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist with:

+ Proven experience in accounts payable, particularly within Manufacturing or Distribution industries.

+ Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and multitasking expertise.

+ Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel tools.

+ A drive to succeed in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident due regulations.

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in high-volume environments.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with Epicor is a plus.

• Familiarity with multi-entity databases.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

• Effective multitasking and teamwork capabilities in a fast-paced setting.

• Experience in manufacturing or similar industries is preferred.
