    Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

     

    Pay: $22 - $26

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The role involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, installing new equipment, and troubleshooting machinery issues. You will work closely with operators and management to address daily needs and ensure machinery operates efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform daily preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment.

    + Install new equipment and determine necessary parts for repairs.

    + Communicate effectively with operators and management regarding daily needs.

    + Complete reports on problems or parts ordering.

    + Operate band saws, drill presses, grinders, and other shop tools.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Troubleshoot issues with plant machinery and repair molds using appropriate setup procedures.

    + Replace or repair bearings and related parts, and make minor wiring repairs.

    + Create fabrications from drawings and perform repairs in high and enclosed areas.

    + Conduct welding in various positions and locations on different types of joints.

    + Replace equipment parts using proper instructions and tools.

    + Start or jog equipment to perform maintenance tasks and order minor parts.

    + Collaborate with operators and supervisors to solve machinery problems.

    + Perform all maintenance on equipment and tools within specified safety requirements.

    + Attend safety meetings and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.

    + Ensure hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

    + Maintain regular attendance.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting and mechanical repair.

    + Strong understanding of hydraulics and preventive maintenance.

    + Welding skills and PLC troubleshooting experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with conveyors.

    + Ability to perform repairs in precarious, high locations and enclosed areas.

    Work Environment

     

    The position operates in a plant environment with loud noise and exposure to dust. You may work in high, precarious places near moving mechanical parts and in extreme non-weather related temperatures. Mandatory and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Meridian, Idaho.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
