    Job Title: Industrial Welder

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated team member capable of working in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment. Safety is our top priority. The primary role involves performing repairs and preventive maintenance on tanks, vessels, piping systems, and structural systems. This independent role also requires rigging and lifting equipment, tools, parts, and assemblies.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform layout and fabrication of new and replacement piping systems.

    + Install valves and related piping equipment.

    + Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance in conformance with established standards.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and isometric diagrams.

    + Certify B31.1 and B31.3 Pipe Welding Code in 6-G position in carbon and stainless steel.

    + Layout, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.

    + Tack-weld and weld components and assemblies using GTAW, SMAW, MIG, and gas welding processes.

    + Operate plasma machine, acetylene torch, band saw, and cut-off machines to size materials.

    + Use pipe threading and cutting machines to prepare threaded pipes.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in welding processes such as GTAW, SMAW, MIG, and gas welding.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and isometric diagrams.

    + Certification in B31.1 and B31.3 Pipe Welding Code in 6-G position.

    + Experience with stainless steel and food-grade materials.

    + 2-5 years of experience in industrial welding, pipe welding, and repairs.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position is ideal for mid to skilled level welders. The shift options include Monday to Thursday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Tuesday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The work culture includes over 700 people and contractors on site, promoting a collaborative environment. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, with uniforms supplied. The work takes place at a facility both outdoors and indoors.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Dodge, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00/hr.
