Job Title: Combo Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Welder with expertise in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and Stick (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components according to specifications, blueprints, and welding codes. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibilities
+ Perform MIG and Stick welding on a variety of metals including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
+ Set up welding machines based on job requirements and material specifications.
+ Inspect welds for accuracy and quality using visual and mechanical inspection tools.
+ Operate grinders, cutting torches, and other metal fabrication tools as needed.
+ Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
+ Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
+ Collaborate with team members, fabricators, and supervisors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in MIG hardwire welding.
+ Experience in Flux core welding.
+ Ability to read schematics and shop prints.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in MIG and Stick welding.
+ Proficient in reading blueprints and welding symbols.
+ Strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and safety standards (e.g., AWS, OSHA).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Technical training or welding certification preferred.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, overhead).
+ Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment
Work takes place in a clean welding shop environment with periodic small field installations, such as gates and fence panels. Team members are encouraged to maintain a tidy workspace and adhere to safety standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gilbert, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
