Job Title: Packaging Operator - 3rd Shift

Job Description

Join a renowned company known for producing sweet potato chips fried in avocado oil, free from the top 9 most common allergens. As a Packaging Operator, you will oversee various operations including managing Alpma machines, brine systems, and filling forms. You will be responsible for setting up and operating high-speed packaging machines, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation, and performing minor troubleshooting to maintain optimal production efficiency.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate high-speed packaging machines for chip production.

+ Manage and operate specific machinery in the production line.

+ Perform minor troubleshooting to identify and resolve machine jams or stops.

+ Follow all safety, sanitation, and production procedures.

+ Ensure accurate record-keeping and quality control.

+ Communicate effectively with team members and management.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience in machine operation at the same company.

+ Experience with minor troubleshooting.

+ Proficiency in operating high-speed manufacturing and packaging machines.

+ Familiarity with GMP standards.

+ Experience with filling machines and production processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in adjusting feeds and speeds.

+ Change over experience.

+ Basic troubleshooting skills.

+ GMP preferred.

Work Environment

Work the 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am, Sunday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on weekends. The facility is clean and follows GMP requirements, including wearing hair nets, beard nets, smocks, hard hats, and steel-toed shoes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.50/hr.
