    Job Title: Packaging Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Packaging Technician to join our team on the 1st Shift from 06:45 AM to 2:45 PM. You will play a crucial role in the assembly, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products while maintaining the highest quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements in all areas of responsibility.

    + Comply with all safety regulations and conduct all activities in a safe, efficient manner.

    + Perform manual or automated assembly, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products, ensuring adherence to specifications and the highest quality standards.

    + Act as the primary performer of in-process and AQL inspections and other necessary tasks.

    + Perform computer-related tasks necessary for job duties, including signing in to jobs, in-process actions, and data entry.

    + Participate in the start-up and closure of packaging jobs.

    + Clean packaging rooms and machinery in accordance with SOPs and GMP.

    + Accept or reject in-process clinical supplies and drug products.

    + Perform counts of components and drug products.

    Essential Skills

    + Hand-eye coordination, dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with both hands.

    + Working mathematical skills for counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, fractions, and percentages.

    + Ability to interpret 2D diagrams and batch paperwork to ensure proper assembly of clinical supplies.

    + Capability to meet physical requirements stated in the Essential Job Functions with little or no assistance.

    + Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks.

    + Initiative to follow through on commitments and adapt to changing circumstances.

    + Ability to accept and learn from feedback, especially related to Corrective or Preventative Actions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to work in primary, secondary, refrigerated (2 to 8° C), and freezer (-20° C) environments (up to 80% of the day could be in a freezer if needed).

    + Physical ability to stand continuously, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, bend frequently, squat, and reach above shoulder level.

    + Proficiency in reading, comprehending, and executing English work documents, including SOPs, work instructions, knowledge assessments (KAs), cGMP, safety procedures, etc.

    Work Environment

     

    Candidates must be comfortable working in a freezer environment, as up to 80% of the workday could be spent there. This role requires working in a cleanroom environment, which involves gowning. Personal Protective Equipment Certification (PPE) is necessary, including filtering face masks, PAPR, N-95 masks, half-face masks, and safety glasses. Additional compensation is provided for working in the PAPR/refrigerator and freezer environments.

    This is a Contract position based out of Allentown, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.70 - $19.55/hr.
