In
this role you’ll be responsible for the
construction, commissioning, and maintenance of Siemens Gamesa and /
or Senvion wind turbines at one of our potential Wind Turbine sites in the US.
Although this position will have a home wind farm site, it will also be part of
a mobile team that supports three other sites as needed. Provide excellent
service to our customers, analyze and react to people in stressful hazardous
situations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
+ Contributes to the improvement of new and updated field procedures andstandard methodologies.
+ Ability to work inside the windturbine enclosure at an elevated height of 300 feet.
+ Ability to think clearly andmaintain composure during stressful and or hazardous situations is criticalto success in the position.
+ Physical requirements of the jobinclude but not limited to: Ladder climbing minimum 267 steps, up stairclimbing, standing for long periods, walking, lifting, bending, twisting,work above shoulders, pushing, pulling, exposure to vibration, chemicals,confined spaces and extreme weather conditions.
+ Capable of efficiently taking onadditional roles and responsibilities at an operating wind farm.
WhatYou Bring
+ High schooldiploma or equivalent is required along with 4 or more years’ experience.A College degree or equivalent competency in a field related to the workof a wind farm technician ie: electrical / mechanical systems isdesirable. Various combinations of education, training, and experiencewill be considered.
+ Demonstratedability to work safely and effectively in a team environment. Must meetbody weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less as required by the safetyregulations. Must pass a physical administered by a medical practitionerto ensure ability to safely perform the job functions and meet thephysical demands of the position.
+ Strong abilityto prioritize and plan daily/weekly work with a high level of qualityorientation, ability to analyze and resolve problems independently.
+ Handsexperience working with electrical systems including PLC programming andconverters.
+ Experienceinteracting with customers at various levels of responsibility withintheir respective organizations.
+ Must be able totravel up to 95%, domestically and internationally. A valid passport anddriver’s license with a clean record are required and must be maintainedthroughout employment.

This job may be remotely based (or
include travel of up to 100% to fulfill requirements of the job), in
California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois,

The base salary range for this position could start between $60-65k and there
is also a gainsharing plan which employees may participate in. This will be
explained in more detail during the interview process.
Specific
offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills,
certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at
the top of the range, though compensation depends on everyone’s qualifications.
